While browsing the Internet, I came across this Youtube video that explains the sub prime housing crisis right now. So now I can finally understand part of the reason why my investments are all shrinking from when I initially bought them.
Now all I need are some fancy charts and graphs after that to make it a bit more understanding. Ah wait, that would be here at the BBC.
Norton Fighter

Phew its been a long time since I have made a post, but that’s because I have been extremely busy with work. But things are starting to slow down for a bit now. While reading Digg this morning I found that Symantec Japan has created Norton Fighter in an attempt to convince people to buy more Symantec products. So ala Power Rangers, take a look at Norton Fighter. Quite amusing I think, plus I don’t know when this took place because its just down the street from my office.

From museums to an odyssey to bars and wars, there is everything here for the Geek (nerd?) in you to do when you want to go on a vacation. Unfortunately, the best thing that I could think of doing would be going to the beach but thats me. Probably closest to number 2. Anyways, take a look here its a fun read.

Akiba Kanpe 秋葉カンペー

I’m quite behind on TV shows here in Japan, but that might be because I don’t have a TV at home. So, I have to resort to watching Youtube to find shows. But at least when I do, it is mostly all the good stuff plus no commercials. Anyways, for those of you who don’t know, Akihabara is the place where all the Otaku (Japanese for nerd) go for shopping. The nickname for this place is Akiba. You have the maid cafes, computer shops (my favorite), plastic model shops, those questionable anime looking shops, more anime stuff. Basically you should get the idea. Anyways, so most of the guys are your stereotypical nerd, glasses, not very fashionable clothes, weird backpack, etc. So what Akiba Kanpe does basically is fill out that role of the stereotypical Otaku and then go to mostly AV idol (read 30 min ~ 1.5hrs of a Japanese girl in a swimsuit running around) and watch their interview about their new DVD release. He however feels the need that he has to help them out though, so what he does is write an answer to the interviewer’s question and then holds it up for the girl to read so she can have an answer. Some of the girls know who he is from the beginning when they see him right up in the front, others don’t. Either way, it is quite funny. Sorry there aren’t any subtitles on any of these videos though. So the first one that I will put here is the one where he helped out Angelina Jolie when she came to Japan for the release of Tomb Raider 2. (Yes, at least two years ago, but anyways…)
