Softbank Mobile grabs too many new customers

Most people know that Softbank acquired the Japan branch of Vodafone recently.  There was also a number portability law that was just passed as well, recently (*finally*) that allows people to keep the same number even if they change carriers.  So, Softbank decided to try and cash in on this but their computers got killed in the process.  They slashed all of their application prices more than half off, and are stating that calls and emails between Softbank phone users will be a fixed price.  Unfortunately, too many people signed up for this over last weekend and they were forced to turn down people from applying due to too much load on their application systems.  You can read the full article here.

New Computer by SUN

There is a new computer coming out for sale here its made by SUN Microsystems.  If anyone wants to be really nice and get this for me and send it to please, please send me an email and let me know.  I’ll be glad to take it.  I will put it in a nice home and make sure its used well for the next few years until the next version of it comes out.  This computer is massive, and so are its specs.  It can calculate at 146 teraflops, 2 petabytes of storage, and 7 terabytes of memory.  I’d really like this.
