Gordon’s official!

Current Mood:Happy emoticon Happy

Hey how about that! Gordon made it official. I went to his wedding party this weekend and it was pretty fun. Around 100 people showed up and it was really nice. I got to meet some people from his family, and then drink a lot. We went to three different places. The last one being the most interesting as most of the people went home, and the ones that stayed peer-pressured Gordon to jump into the river at Iidabashi. The people who run the place got angry at us as well. They wouldn’t see us any more drinks after that, because we were being a bother to the other customers. I don’t see why though, as most of the people found out that it was his day, and they congradulated him. Anyways here are some pictures from the famous day. Sorry for the grainy images, I know they suck, but its all I could manage from my camera phone.

The most boring thing…

Current Mood:Bored emoticon Bored

Is to sit here at the Immigrations Center in Shinagawa. It is so boring… There is nothing to do here at all. All you can do is just sit here and wait for the workers here to call your number. Which… goes…. so…. s…l….o….w….l….y….. Not to mention ontop of that you need to know where to go in the first place. And while everything they do is in Japanese that is fine, they should be able to speak some English. Sigh… oh well, guess that you can’t have everything. The best part is if I ever want to travel out of Japan I get to come here again and do it all over for my re-entry permit. Joy of joys…

Do you need energy?  Do you want it? Not too long ago my co-worker told me that they had started to sell Red Bull at the convinience store.  Hey great, I thought.  To bad that they’re a bit expensive though.  275 Yen with tax for these things.  Tad bit high for my tastes since you can get this in Singapore for around 80 Yen or so, and in the US for around 110 yen or so.  (For anyone that doesn’t know most normal drinks around here average 120 to 150 Yen.)

This is diet, this is Japan.

These are not your normal household Japanese slippers. No… These are magic slippers, because they bring forth diet. And not just any old diet mind you, the Japanese diet. I thought they looked extreemely funny. Here take a look at these pictures.

To me they look like springy high heel slippers. Makes me think that some of these ladies either need training for high heels so they wear these, or they just love to wear high heels to feel tall.

But, in all honesty, I suppose I can see how this helps some as it makes you work your legs more as you’re walking around the house, but still… I never really understand how this is ‘diet’ as called by the Japanese. I suppose saying ‘exercise’ doesnt sound as cachy. Who knows…

Wowow! Look at this! I might just get a PS3 when it comes out in November… hm… Must consider the price though….

LOS ANGELES — Square Enix on Monday announced it is developing two new versions of the hugely popular role playing game Final Fantasy for Sony’s next generation PlayStation 3 game console, along with another version targeting mobile phones.

The game producer made the announcement ahead of the E3 game convention being held in Los Angeles from Wednesday. The company has dubbed the triple-release project Fabula Nova Crystallis, meaning “the new tale of the crystal” in Latin.

For PlayStation 3, Square Enix will release a main version, Final Fantasy XIII, along with another version called Final Fantasy Versus XIII, which features different characters and a different world.

The version for cell phones is called Final Fantasy Agito XIII. The three games will be based on the same worldview, with different characters used to unveil the story.

Square Enix has already shipped out some 65 million copies of the Final Fantasy game worldwide. (Mainichi)
